The Company:
Memo Team is a German-based company that build exhibition and event stands for trade shows and exhibitions globally for a wide range of clients and event sizes. Their team of experts have been used for over 30 years, with the highest level of service and reliability especially for stand building at high profile events that require meticulous and timely set up.
Memo Team has their own in-house logistics department, co-ordinating flights and ground arrangements for their various worldwide projects and in doing so worked with Good Travel Management to support them in their project.
Goal:
Memo Team approached Good Travel Management for assistance with the COP 26 Climate Change Conference in Scotland. The goal was to organise and co-ordinate travel requirements from various departure points in Germany to Glasgow, as well as hotel requirements, ground transportation and transfers. The provision of on-site support and assistance for a rotation of 25 workers, responsible for building stands in the halls of the SEC Conference Centre in Glasgow, in readiness for the COP 26 Climate Change Conference was also required.
The Solution:
Good Travel Management’s Exhibitions and Events division (GT Events) was able to provide a bespoke and comprehensive management service for all international and on-the-ground travel logistics for the Memo Team, providing flexibility whilst co-ordinating the flights and hotel requirements. This enabled the Memo Team to finalise their plans for the operation and focus on the primary delivery of the project as the dates and time schedules were confirmed.
GT Events also provided a wide range of services to the Memo Team to ensure their stand construction went ahead as planned and on time with it being such a high-profile event. Starting with onsite assistance, the GT Events team coordinated interpreting and translation services, organising meet and greet airport transfers and daily bus transfers to and from the SEC, whilst also planning drop-off and pick-up points.
The team supported the daily Covid tests, imperative for entrance to the Conference Centre whilst being on hand at all times of the day for any logistical support. The GT Events team also helped with accreditation, tracing and transferring luggage and equipment as well as guidance for ongoing PCR tests as well dealing with other aspects of the travel regulation and testing process.
The whole process supported a focused and tightly managed operation, undertaken with strict security guidelines and COVID protocols.

The Memo Team was given a comprehensive and hands-on service via their travel manager from start to finish to ensure a supported and full end-to-end process was achieved. This enables them to concentrate on their core duties of delivering the exhibition stand build, managing their budget, and reducing the organisational impact on their team in Germany. flight bookings to accommodation and transfers, to an onsite liaison service, enabled The Memo team to concentrate fully on preparing for the SEC COP 26 Climate Change Conference.
