Andrea talks us through a day in her professional life at Good Travel Management…

7:30 AM – Starting my day the right way

My day typically begins at around 7:30 AM, but not with the usual hustle and bustle of the corporate world. Instead, I kick off my morning with a simple pleasure – taking my dog out for a quick walk. This peaceful start sets the tone for my day, allowing me to gather my thoughts and enjoy the fresh air before I dive into work.

8:30 AM – The Yorkshire Tea Ritual

Once I’m back from the morning walk, it’s time for a well-deserved cup of tea. But not just any tea – it must be Yorkshire tea. With my tea in hand, I sit down to check my emails and review my schedule for the day.

9:30 AM – Meetings Begin

By 9:30 AM, my day is officially in full swing as my first meetings of the day kick-off. These meetings can range from project updates to client consultations, and they keep me engaged and focused on my work. Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and clients are essential during these interactions.

12:00 PM – Lunch Break

Around noon, I take a break for lunch. It’s an opportunity to recharge and refuel for the second half of the day. Whether it’s a hearty meal or quick, healthy bite, this midday pause allows me to reset and gain some perspective.

12:30 PM – Afternoon Client Communication

Resuming my work around 12:30 PM, my afternoon is typically dedicated to communicating with clients. This is when I address their enquires, provide updates, and ensure their needs are met. Building strong client relationships is a core part of my role, and I take pride in delivering exceptional service.

15:00 PM – Time for Another Tea Break

Just as my energy begins to dip in the afternoon, it’s time for another tea break. I reach for my trusty Yorkshire tea to revitalise and stay sharp. The comforting aroma and taste of this brew never fail to lift my spirits and help me power through the rest of the day.

17:00 PM – Wrapping Up

As the clock inches toward 17:00 PM, it’s time to start signing off and preparing to head home. I make sure my tasks are up to date, emails are responded to, and any loose ends are tied up. This orderly wrap-up ensues a smooth transition from work to my personal life.

After a day of productive meetings, client interactions, and diligent work, I can sign off with a sense of accomplishment. As I head home, I know that I’ll be greeted by my local canine friend, ready for another evening stroll. The routine may be punctuated by meetings and responsibilities, but it’s the little moments, like savouring a cup of Yorkshire tea, that make the day truly enjoyable and complete.
