Advance Purchase

Advance purchase describes an airfare, rail ticket or hotel room that must be purchased a specific number of days before travel, typically 7, 14, or 21 days, for the best fare. Most Advance purchase fares and rates are non-refundable, but the benefit is they help to create considerable savings for travel.

The advance purchase for employees should be in the travel policy. This will advise employees on how advance they need to be booking their corporate travel.

How far in advance should corporate travel be booked?

Typically, booking corporate travel more than 22 days in advance is considered to be the cheapest type of advanced purchase, especially when travelling internationally.
